IBM has introduced Power11 chips and servers to simplify AI adoption for enterprises. The new hardware offers superior power efficiency compared to Intel and AMD solutions, with 99.9999% uptime and only 30 seconds of unplanned downtime annually. Power11 features dedicated AI inference acceleration with 1,200 GB/s bandwidth per socket, integrated security with sub-minute ransomware detection, and compatibility with IBM's watsonx ecosystem. Unlike systems for general AI training, Power11 focuses on enterprise AI inference, allowing businesses to integrate AI into existing processes. The servers will be available July 25, 2025, with additional integrations coming later that year.
